First off, I had to leave at four in the morning in order to get to UGA before the rush. o.o So Mom and I were loading up the car with my stuff...at three thirty.
Then we get on the road, and Mom says she knows a better route. Alarm bells go off, especially when we stop seeing any civilization past a state prison. And no, even I draw the line at asking for directions from a prison. Turns out the route did work though.
So we get to UGA, and NOBODY knows what's going on, where we need to park, even what time check in starts. Eventually, I do get all checked in and I have to cart two loads of stuff in the rain across very bumby terrain from the car to the fifth floor of my building, where my room is. Thankfully, there were elevators.
I get all unpacked and done, meet my roomie, and Mom, me, and Heather (said roomie) venture off for breakfast (it's still only about 11 at this point, though it feels later). We eat at Waffle House, where we get atrocious service (the waiter forgot to give us SILVERWARE), only to venture outside and see that we have a flat tire. And it starts raining. Again.
We get someone from the Waffle House to put on the spare for us (which eventually involves about five people) and then we get lost heading back to the dorm. And I had to pee.
We do finally wind up back at the dorm, and I got some relief, but by then Mom's in a bad mood when she was already depressed that I was leaving home. Not a lovely way for the day to end.
Now it's past ten, and I figured out how to hook my laptop up to the internet, and I'm feeling the first strong pangs of homesickness. I want nothing more that to go home, cuddle up to Mom, and watch TV, then jump into my bed.

There are two ways to live one's life.
One is to live as though nothing is a miracle.
The other is to live as though everything is a miracle.
